Project DPro (PMD Pro) Competency 10: Change

Identify if and when changes need to occur and the impact of those changes on the project.

During this course you will review and deepen your knowledge of change management in the project context.

You will begin by studying the PMD Pro change process.

We will also have time to consider change and project management from a more holistic perspective. Firstly, by seeing change management in a more general context, and then by considering just how separate project management and change management are as disciplines.

The final assignment gives you an opportunity to write your own reflections on the subject of change management.

    – The disciplines of change management and project management are both necessary when executing a project or initiative.
    – A successful change is characterized by a solution that is effectively designed, developed and delivered (project management) and that is embraced, adopted and used by impacted employees (change management).
    – By integrating change management and project management in a seamless application, you solve the problem of projects failing to deliver results even when meeting technical requirements.
